Gabe Schlickau serves as Senior Relationship Manager in the Regional Agribusiness Banking Group for CoBank, a national cooperative bank serving vital industries across rural America.

An intentional and effective advocate, Gabe has significant experience leading boards of directors in businesses, government entities and non-profit organizations to focus on the sustainability and growth of communities throughout Kansas and the Midwest.  

His experience and passion in understanding the impact of education and workforce development upon the vibrancy of business within a community have led him to fulfill two terms as the chairman of the Workforce Alliance of South Central Kansas. In addition, Gabe currently volunteers as Vice Chair of Advocacy for the Wichita Regional Chamber of Commerce, where he will serve as chairman in 2026 and he serves on the Board of Directors for the Sumner Cowley Electric Cooperative, which provides rural utility service to 5 counties in south central Kansas.  

In his various leadership roles, Schlickau advocates that a community is only as strong as its people.  Because of this, he believes in investing in people to ensure that our workforce is educated and skilled, who then grow businesses that fuel positive economic impact that provides a foundation for vibrant, healthy Kansas communities for future generations.
